"In everything you do, put God first and He will direct you and crown your efforts with success." Proverbs 3:6

Forgiven Quartet has been spreading the good news of Jesus Christ through songs and testimonies since July 1981. They have performed all across middle America with an emphasis on the smooth harmonies exemplifying southern gospel music. The group has appeared in concert with many of the top names in gospel music including The Mark Trammell Trio, Legacy Five, The Cathedrals, JD Sumner and the Stamps, The Florida Boys, The Nelons, The Lesters, The Brashears, The Telestials, Albert E. Brumley Jr. and Sherman Andrus.

In 2002, Forgiven Quartet was asked to be part of the South Texas Music Festival in Harlingen, TX as the feature southern gospel quartet for the event. Later that year they were selected as Grand Champions in the group competition at The Branson Gospel Music Associations Showdown 2002 Talent Contest in Branson, Missouri. They are one of the most highly respected and highly requested southern gospel quartets in the mid-west presenting more than 120 concerts per year in a ten-state area including Oklahoma, Kansas, Nebraska, Minnesota, Iowa, Illinois, Texas, Missouri, Arkansas and Tennessee. They have released eight full-length gospel recordings over the past six years.

Current members of the group are Mark Brooke (tenor) from Bartlesville, OK who attends First Baptist Church; Mark Green (lead) from Owasso, OK who attends Central Baptist Church; Scott Henderson (baritone) from Glenpool, OK who attends Southside Baptist Church in Jenks, OK, and Stanley Johnson (bass) from Enid, OK who attends First Church of the Nazarene.

According to Green, God has truly honored our corporate prayer of 1 Chronicles 4:10 we have been praying over this ministry for the past five years. Just as He did for Jabez, God has provided outstanding ministry opportunities and allowed us the privilege of sharing the Good News of Jesus Christ with so many wonderful people! We give God all the glory! Our ministry is truly a labor of love!"

Daywind producer and nationally-known song writer, Marty Funderburk from Nashville, TN says, "I have had the privilege of spending many days in the studio producing Forgiven Quartets last six recordings. Ive seen them in the most stressful of settings and have come away from each session more impressed than before. These are Christian gentlemen of the highest order. They are obviously committed to spiritual and musical excellence. You can see it in their live performances and you can hear it in their recordings. Ladies and gentlemen, I am proud to present to you, Forgiven Quartet..... southern gospel music at its finest."

Dennis and Alice Rehders
Sonrise Ministries of Texas, Inc

Sonrise Ministries of Texas was first established in 1980 in Mobile, Alabama as Sonrise Ministries. When I moved to Texas, I changed the name to Sonrise Ministries of Texas, Inc.  We currently are members of Bay Area Gospel Music Association, South Texas Gospel Music Association; Southern Gospel Music Association; Southern News; and International Association of Music Ministries.

I hold a BS Degree in Education (Math and Science), BA in Biblical Studies, Masters Degree in Computer Science; and I am presently working on a Masters/Doctors Degree in Biblical Theology.  My precious wife, Alice holds a degree in Business Administration and is currently working on her BA/Masters Degree in Biblical Theology.

I play the keyboard and drums.  We have a tape (CD) ministry of sermons that are aired on the KCYL radio every Sunday.  We presently have six (6) albums that we've recorded plus a Christmas Album and I am working on number seven and a new Christmas.  You can find the albums name and songs on the Information Page on www.sonriseministriestexas.com .  All sermons and CD are available for an offering to support the ministry.

My wife and I travel anywhere God leads us.  We have been as far as Tennessee, Alabama, Oklahoma, Michigan and Louisiana ministering the spoken Word and singing.  We go into prisons to minister to those that are incarcerated.  We find this most rewarding.  We traveled to Europe this Spring in May on a 10 church tour in England, Scotland and Ireland with Larry Strum Ministries.  We just completed a 6 church crusade in Alabama.  In February we will be with The Relations and others on a Gospel Cruise going to Mexico.  Right now our radio program on Sunday mornings on KCYL in Lampasas, Texas have been put away for a season; however, we still have sermons that can be heard at your convenience.  God has richly blessed us with many listeners and they still want to receive the messages God has given us.

Holding a 9th degree Black Belt in two different disciplines of martial arts (Isshinryu and Shitoryu), we hold youth revivals and minister to the young people about Jesus Christ.

I am retired from the military, as a Command Sergeant Major. I spent two tours in Vietnam, two tours in Germany, one in Korea, one in Okinawa, one in Japan and various other short term assignments around the world and the rest in the states for a total of 21 years.  Ive taught school, Math and Science, until I had to retire because of a stroke in 2000.  I am now 100% disable and my wife and I love serving the Lord Jesus Christ full time.

My wife, Alice, travels with me, not only for support but she also sings with me on some of the songs.  This is the best way that we can serve our Lord.  What a privilege it is to serve Him!  Our belief is that the Bible is the unchangeable Word of God.  We believe that Jesus died on the cross, rose from the dead, and now sits at the right hand of our Almighty Father, preparing a place for us for the day when He calls His children home.  We believe that ALL of Gods promises are true and that if we stand on His Word that He will be faithful and true to us.  We believe that we can have a victorious life through Jesus Christ because Christ lives within our hearts and in our lives and because He overcame the world, so can we.  We also believe that we are seeing the last days.  Satan is aware that his time is getting short and he is lashing out with all his might, killing, stealing, and destroying, discouraging frightening and whatever else he can cause to discourage the child of God.  However, Christ gives the Christian the armor and the power to withstand Satan.  We must persevere, be steadfast, and faithful, for there is no weapon formed against us that any can harm us.  All of the lies and deceit cant touch us, but the trial will only make us stronger to withstand the test and make each trial a blessing.  Overcoming a stroke, cancer surgery and a heart attack (two blocked arteries behind my heart), we have learned that even in the valley, God is good!  Romans 8:28 says For ALL things work together for good to them that love the Lord and are the called according to His purpose.

We would like to be a part of your worship services and minister to your congregation in song and Word.  We come on a love offering basis only.  We have learned to never limit what God can do and because of this, God has richly provided ALL of our need according to His riches in Glory by Christ Jesus.   Also, our greatest riches are stored up in heaven.  We do this in hopes that we might reach someone that is lost, hurting, or perhaps even in despair.  Because of what God has allowed me to go through, He has graciously given to me the ministry of encouragement, wow, what a blessing.  If we may join your services, please call either of the numbers listed above.  We are available for Homecomings, Revivals, Anniversaries, Birthdays, Funerals, or just some good old fashioned gospel singing.  Until then, we will be praying for your church by name.

On March 18, 2006, STGMA Gospel Music Association awarded me 2006 Male Soloist of the Year and 2006 Special Achievement Awarded for Unlimited Dedication and Service this was an honor I did not expect In August, God allowed me to win the Senior Division of TGTS (Texas Gospel Talent Showcase Inspire The Desire), and I say that to say this, if I ever receive any praise, let it go to Calvary.

If you would like to just get in contact with us that we may pray with you, our information is below.  May God bless you and yours immensely, as only He can bless you.
